did your application get accepted by one of the admins? fantastic, then that means that it should be moved into one of the boards here for reference purposes. once it's accepted it will be kept here until your character no longer exists, it will then be permanently archived, unless you have requested it to be deleted.

most people have at least one character that they would like to be played. whether it is a canon (and we'd greatly prefer canons to be taken up!) or an original of your creation, feel free to post here letting everyone know that you want said person made.

we all know the wizarding world is immune to technology that muggles flock to, but kids will be kids. the owls at hogwarts are forever busy trying to keep up the busy social lives of the students. but remember, let our feathered friends have a break occasionally.

the great hall is the main gathering area in the school. students eat their meals, receive daily owl post, and have certain special events here. the great hall is a large hall that can easily hold all of the school's students, staff, and guests. it has tall walls that reach up to the ceiling, which is enchanted. at the front of the hall, is the staff table, which is designed to house the entire hogwarts staff.

hogwarts is full of classrooms, it is a school afterall, although not all are in use. potions, transfiguration, charms, defence against the dark arts, history of magic, muggle studies, you gotta learn somewhere. but some students find better uses for them after hours, with all those empty classrooms giving the perfect opportunity for a mignight rendezvous.

the top most part of the extensive hogwarts castle accessed via the seventh floor. used mostly for astronomy and divination classes, and to hold the owls. the rest are mostly just cold empty rooms that offer brilliant views for anyone who had romance and privacy on their mind.

It doesn't get anymore literal, or useful then the room of requirement. some students just know it as the spare bathroom on the seventh floor, or a broom closet to hide in at the most opportune times. but a few clever students know the truth of the mysterious and are more then willing to utilise it to their own selfish needs.

the hogwarts library is located on the third and fourth floors of hogwarts castle and contains tens of thousands of books on thousands of shelves. books may be borrowed at any time for school or personal use, except those of the infamous restricted section, which has sent student imaginations crazy for generations. it offers a popular place for students to gather and study, as long as they keep their voices down.

the hospital wing at hogwarts is where students who suffer mishaps and injuries during the school year are sent or brought to the hospital wing for treatment. the hospital wing is well equipped to deal with all kinds of magical and mundane injuries, from broken limbs to regrowing lost bones. only in the most severe cases are the patients sent to st mungo's hospital for magical maladies and injuries for further treatment.

hogwarts is infamous for its labyrinth of halls and staircases, which can make it hard for any student, let alone when they all start moving. it's a first years nightmare. but certain students definitely know how to use hidden hallways and abandoned floors to their advantage, expecially if they're fortunate enough to stumble upon one of the many secret passageways throughout the castle.

every first year will know the black lake by the dead of night as they make their way to hogwarts for the first time. it is located to the south of the castle and about half a mile in diameter. it is home to a giant squid, grindylows, and a colony of merpeople and other unimaginable creatures. it is known to be very cold, all year around, but can be swum in if you're brave enough to venture in.

what wizard doesn't like quidditch? none that i can think of, and hogwarts is no exception, having it's own quidditch pitch for it's interhouse tournament as houses fight for the quidditch cup. it's set to ministry regulation standards and is open to try outs, team and personal practices and it's where the whole school gathers for games.

the whomping willow is a very valuable, very violent species of magical plant and has recently been added to the school grounds. whomping willows attack anyone and anything that comes within range of its branches as they function as arms, so students are warned to stay away and be very wary of it. any damage to its branches must be treated in much the same way as a injury to a person's limb.

diagon alley is located in london and one of the wizarding world's most popular shopping district's. all hogwart's student can be found roaming the streets during august to collect to supplies for the school year at shops such as flourish & blotts, ollivander's and madam malkins. it's also home to the incredible gringott's bank, the leaky cauldron and a variety of other shops and stores.

this is the dark counterpart of diagon alley, if you continue far enough. it is generally frequented by wizard's interested in the dakr art's and has a very unsavoury reputation from dealer's such a borgin & burkes, who specialise in objects of dark magic and other dangerous magical artifacts.
