- - we don't care if you hate us, we don't care if you hate our members, but you will show respect if you wish to be on this site. we will try to get around to accepting your applications and updating your claims as quickly as possible, so do not nag us about accepting you and don't nag other members to post/reply to your threads. don't make racist, sexist, or innappropriate comments directed at anyone or towards any specific group of people. keep any hosility between characters, not ooc. speaking of ooc, make sure if you are feuding with another member, you keep it out of the chat box and any other ooc boards. do not let your ooc issues carry into character issues either, that just gets annoying for everyone watching. if it becomes too much drama, then the admins will ban everyone involved. make sure to follow the proboards tos, as well. if you fail to do so, that's on your own hide.

CHARACTERS

- - no godmodding, no perfect characters. this is an hp universe so there will be things our characters can or cannot do because of their magical abilities, but lets not get overboard with it. lets not have a character that is the most gorgeous thing any guy had ever seen and has the ability to seduce every attractive guy in school just because she can, got it? everyone will have their flaws, so make sure your people do too, but there is a limit in that too. just because they have low self-esteem or a sucky childhood doesn't mean they've never had a good moment. try to keep balance so you don't become an annoyance. after making two girls, you must have at least one boy. so if you have six characters, at least two of them must be boys.

POSTING

- - this is basic and i'm sure everyone is capable of posting well-thoughtout posts, so make sure you apply it here. we don't have a specific post limit because we value quality over quantity no matter your "experience level" in rp's. lets try to shoot for a minimum of 300 words, though. if you can't do that, then there is a problem. however, we're here to offer tips and guidance in how to grow as an rp'er. if a thread is tagged, please do not post unless it is your name or you have gotten permission from the creator(s). do not limit all of your posting to being owls. even if you do a short thread or have to post a 300 word open thread, that is better than nothing. for every five owls per character, you need to have at least one thread. simple enough.

GRAPHICS

- - do not post nudity, cartoon/graphic art, or anything vulgar or offensive. just be respectful. even if it's tasteful nudity, you may not post it or use it for your graphics unless there is nothing visable. remember, proboards is a 13 and up site, so you never know who might come around. we will remove any images we find innappropriate for the site. also, don't make your sig huge or any other graphics so big it stretches the page. 400x500 is as big as it should be, preferrably make them smaller, though. we appreciate pretty graphics, so if you need something made, feel free to ask. there are plenty of people that have amazing skills around here, so make sure you use your resources.

NOTE

- - - we can and will add rules as we see fit. if we update something, we will make sure to post an announcement about it so you know and are aware of things to change (if you need to change anything) about you, your graphics, your character, whatever it is. feel free to report anything that you feel is against the rules (we do miss things!) or has bothered you, to the admins!
