"to say i was excited about coming to hogwarts would be an understatement. sev-erus, told me a lot about the wizarding world, what to expect from hogwarts, the things i would do, the people i might meet, but no words and ideas could ever really prepare you. my family parents are so supportive of me attending hogwarts and i hoped to graduate someday beside severus as i had come here. but of course, friends grow up... and apart, develop different interests and other friends and i guess things aren't going to end that way. i can't dwell though. the professor's are so lovely and i work hard at my studies, so their far too kind in their praises although some do think very highly of my skills and level of magic, considering i am muggle born, although to be honest, i hardly think it makes a difference. apparently wizards can have children that have no magic abilities at all, so i don't see what's so wrong with someone like me coming along and being good at it! i was sorted into gryffindor house, which could say a lot about me, i guess. loyal, independant, courageous, although i do think some students take the meaning of which to some unneccessary extremes and to very selfish places. i like to help out people when i can and stand up for people that have been slighted, and with james and his lackey's lurking around the castle, or those high and mighty slytherin's dolling out what they feel is just, i feel like it's a full time job. i've been broadening my horizons over the past year, falling into a new set of friends, and trying to focus more on my studies and my role as prefect."
